Statin Therapy Reduces Risk of Diabetic Retinopathy in Type 2 Diabetes
A large population-based cohort study in patients with T2DM and dyslipidemia found that 10.6 and 12.0 percent of patients in the statin and nonstatin groups, respectively, developed diabetic retinopathy. Intermittent Fasting for Weight Loss

Drug Overdose Death Rate Increasing Among Middle-aged Women
Researchers report that between 1999 and 2017, the unadjusted drug overdose death rate increased 260% among women 30 – 64. The increase was seen in the number and rate of deaths involving cocaine, benzodiazepines, antidepressants, heroin, and synthetic opioids.
